Ignore the hike books when they say that hiking from Johnston Canyon up to the Ink Pots is 'disappointing'. We had an absolutely perfect day for hiking today, and being a weekday, even the first section of the trail wasn't too badly crowded. I have been into Johnston Canyon several times, summer and winter, but this was my first trip up to the Ink Pots, and they were really neat. We had lunch with a big ol' raven, which was also really neat. This was Jak's last trip out with us before she moves back to Toronto, and we'll really miss her!
