With more than a little trepidation, the three of us set out into the fog and black clouds this morning. Due to a minor carpool fiasco, Claudia and I met up with John at the Barrier Dam, where we decided that... hey! The weather here is kind of good... why don't we do Barrier Fire Lookout instead of driving all the way down to do Picklejar Lakes!? So, that's exactly what we did. There was a lot of cloud in the morning, but otherwise a beautiful, and surprisingly humid, day. Lots of folks out on the trail as we hiked up to the Prairie View Viewpoint, and then continued on up to Barrier Fire Lookout. A great day, and no one... I mean NO ONE... from this group fed anything to any Whiskey Jacks or Chipmunks. If you've heard something different, it's all vicious lies. -- Rhonda MPS File (for GPS)
