Kananaskis Fire Lookout

Nine hearty souls set out this morning in cold and windy conditions. The snow was deep and crunchy enough to make it a tough slog without snow shoes, and we decided that we'll likely reserve this hike for summertime and nicer weather.

All that said, though, it turned out to be a beautiful day, we had a lovely time, and Cheryl and I discovered how to get Ed to hang in the back of the pack with us for a change - get him to injure himself on the way up. Only two of us - Joanne and Ash - made it all the way to the top. Alan made it most of the way, while the rest of us wimped out at the intersection of Whiskeyjack Trail and Pocaterra Trail.
