We had a glorious day for this hike with blue skies and fresh air. The first 8 or so kilometres of this hike is mainly in the trees with a steady climb. Then the trail opens up to Healy Meadows, a wonderland of mountain tops, small lakes and shrubs turning yellow and gold. Then when you reach the pass and look over in the opposite direction there is another jaw-dropping vista of Egypt Lakes. We had lunch at this picturesque spot. Most of us ended the day with dinner in Canmore. Thank you everyone for joining me on this rewarding hike. Laura L |
