Other Hike: Angel Glacier and Wilcox Pass $0.00 On Monday we did the 1km interpretive loop of Angel Glacier, and don't let the fact that it's a 1km interpretive loop deter you - it is spectacular! We saw three grizzlies - mom and two cubs - just a few meters from the parking lot, just as we set out. It was thrilling and frightening all at once and we didn't linger. Then, we proceeded to Wilcox Creek where we were to stay for the night, leaving Sibel's car at Tangle Falls for shuttle, and hiked Wilcox Pass all the way through (a first for Lana and myself, even though we've done in-and-outs on Wilcox several times). We were both disappointed with the descent from Wilcox Pass to Tangle Falls and from now on we'll probably stick with in-and-outs on the Pass. It was a first time for Sibel and Kevin and from all the snappin' going on (camera, that is), it seems that it didn't disappoint (although Sibel's poor quads weren't happy with the extra 200m descent to Tangle Falls which is that much lower than Wilcox Creek).
