What to do, what to do....? You're turning 85 today, so what are you going to do to celebrate? Well, if you're Ed, you're going to grab 15 friends from the Calgary Outdoor Club and go run the scree at Yamnuska. There was quite a bit of snow the last few days, so unfortunately Marty and Ed (and company) didn't get to do the Yamnuska scramble as planned ,but we all ran the scree and boy did we have a great day! Marg and Mike brought up some birthday cake and Marty and Rhonda brought the wine. After we hiked up to the cliff, we stopped for lunch, cake and wine, and then on to the traverse in front of the cliff. Rhonda, Cecilia and Erin enjoyed the traverse across the front of the cliff, especially Cecilia when she slipped at the narrowest point and began sliding down the mountain. Mike, who was playing around in the scree underneath, and Marty who was watching out for the newbies above, came to the rescue and saved Cecilia from certain death (or mocking).

A brilliant day and a wonderful time. We're all honored that Ed would share his 85th birthday with us and we can't wait to see what adventure he chooses for 86!
