WOW!! What a fun night and a great way to eat! No cutlery needed!! By using Injera, an unleavened bread, you rip off a piece and use it to scoop the "stuff". Everything is cold and of a mushy kind of consistency, but very tasty and colorful. Presentation really is everything. My group had the vegetarian platter which had a variety of 5-6 different things on it. To date, I still don't know what I was eating, but I did enjoy it...even though I was sitting between Hustler and Cougar. I do know there was cabbage in one thing. One thing, it's very deceiving how much of this food you can eat. It's very filling, so go hungry and go slow. As promised, Ethiopian food is not FAST, and we were there the prescribed 3 hours. Well worth the wait, though. All in all, everyone seemed to be having a good time trying this style of eating. A few had experience, but the rest of us were newbies and having no trouble eating with our hands! I'm wondering if I can throw out all my cutlery and try this new method with everything?!

The food was certainly interesting; I went with the vegetarian combo. It was good but another time I'd go with one of the spicier meat dishes. After that meal my stomach felt the same way it does after 16inch Pizza supper - FULL!

I really enjoyed some of the conversations I was in. Poor Kate at our end of the table got caught in a 3 way discussion between Joel, John and myself on the topic of amateur radio. If that wasn't enough, Richard jumped in and then we had Kate caught once again, except by then the topic switched to Linux. Then Kate got a doggie bag and made a run for it!
