Trip Log

Notes Actions
Clouds and wind threatened all day, but the lion turned to pussycat under the Weather Witch's powers for the evening, and we had a fantastic skate from Riverside all the way to Chinatown and back this evening.

The main highlight came on the narrowest part of the trail where, right after a bend, Tabitha unknowingly skated right into the path of an oncoming bicycle traveling at breakneck speed. To the tune of "Free Falling", provided synchronicitiously (is that a word?) by a spectator's ghetto blaster, Tabitha executed a splendid arabesque triple-lutz, and with a perfect five-point landing she deftly avoided certain destruction from said bicycle, but landed square in the path of Rhonda, who slightly less gracefully ran straight into Tabitha's skates and did a much simpler three-point landing, sans arabesque and triple-lutz.

The remainder of the trip was uneventful, and quite pleasant, and all returned home with happy thoughts, especially Tabitha who was planning on putting her cat to work helping her clean her wounds (eeeuuuuuuuwwwwww).
