Apparently this was international day for the COC. Out of 14 people, we had five ESL folks with us: Misa (Japan), Sun (Korea), Donald (Quebec), Claudia (Mexico) and Wood (China). Cool! Misa entertained us with her newly acquired Canadian slang expression (Suck it up princess!). Hee hee. We were also joined by a crew from Lethbridge.

As per usual, we had an absolutely perfect day today. The sky was impossibly perfect blue. The temperature was warm, and even though Powderface Ridge has a reputation of being very windy, we hardly had any wind today. And you have to love hiking comfortably in shorts and a tank with snow on the ground.

Not too far up the trail, we started to see some fresh bear tracks, and saw them for a few km up.

We stopped for lunch at the end of the Powderface Creek trail, and yakked briefly with a few folks from the Calgary Ski Club before trudging up the ridge to check out the view from up there. Returning to the bottom, we ran into Scott's group who was doing the same hike an hour later. Scott made the ultimate sacrifice of leading that hike today in spite of the very important hockey game being on this afternoon. We celebrated with some good old fashioned sword-fights between members of the two groups.

After the hike, Philip, Wood and I headed to Kilkenny where we were joined by Alan and his friend, Stephanie. Soon, half of the later hike joined us, and we all gave Jessica (our new waitress) a hard time.
