General Info Research Notes Research Notes $0.00 Santiago de Querétaro is a city in central Mexico. It’s known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture such as a striking pink stone aqueduct. Notable baroque buildings include Santa Rosa de Viterbo church. The nearby ochre San Francisco church is in Zenea Garden, the city’s main square. In the old church convent, the Querétaro Regional Museum displays pre-Hispanic, colonial and republican artifacts
  • 1 hour bus ride to San Juan del Rio.
  • $4 bus ride (40 min) from airport to bus terminal
  • Most flights connect through USA. Westjet can connect through Puerto Vallarta onto Volaris (airline).
  • WEstjet also seems to fly to Mexico City, which is a 3-hour, $22 bus ride to Santiago. Partner airline: Aeromexico
  • Really good deal on AirBnB near bus terminal and historical centre in Santiago.

General Info Walk to/from Bus Terminal Translated From Reddit $0.00 I have walked through the area, but the direct route is not the most beautiful or pedestrian.

From the center you may like this route: from where you are staying, walk towards Avenida Universidad (there is a river that could be pleasant if it hasn't rained), then walk towards Bernardo Quintana and when you get to Pathé, go to the neighborhood (It is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood to walk), then cross Carretas (which is super beautiful to walk with many parks) towards Quintas del Marqués (another quiet neighborhood), from there walk to the Corregidora Stadium and from there you just have to go around it a little towards Bernardo Quintana. Right in front of the Ibis hotel there is a pedestrian bridge that crosses Bernardo Quintana and leaves you next to the terminal. That final stretch is a bit ugly because it takes you to a half-abandoned alley, but then after that you get to the parking lot through the taxi area.

I have walked that section the other way around because I was working next to the terminal and suddenly I was going to the center. They are beautiful colonies with friendly sidewalks, they are quiet and there are even little trees that cover a bit of the sun.
General Info Walk to/from Bus Terminal #2 Translated from Reddit $0.00 Yes you can but there is not much to see if you want to get there fast ... maybe the stadium and the mall, but not much more until you get to the center. If you deviate a bit on your walk, you arrive at Carretas, which is a neighborhood with a beautiful park from which you can reach the arches (highly recommended). In this map: https://imgur.com/6WEvwjs the green line is the shortest distance between the station and the center walking through the safest area. The red one is my recommendation for a pedestrian route ... Walking through Carretas, the arches, the viewpoint, the Convent of the Cross, etc. The blue circles are nice areas to walk too, of course there are some areas that are less secure, like everywhere else. Lucky!
