Hemoglobin was up to 83 (it was 75, I think, a week ago). She wanted to postpone another week, which I pushed back on because of the plans to go to Calgary to clean out the apartment and prep it for sale.
I asked about a transfusion and she said that normally they give transfusions when hemoglobin is down to 70, but because my side effects have been so bad she would request one. I asked about reducing the dose or skipping the chemo all together. She said that I've had enough chemo to get the Herceptin (synergistic) started properly and reducing to a 60% dose or skipping the chemo entirely were both viable options. Brent and I had a quick discussion and I chose to have the 60% dose. I hope I don't regret that. |
