NOTE: Some of the attendees will be meeting for a quick bite to eat at the Elephant and Castle pub (next to the cinema) from about 6:00pm onwards. Feel free to join us - my cell number is 780 983 9374. Come see "The Iron Lady" movie, which is on limited release in Edmonton. The Iron Lady, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, is a biographical British film about former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, portrayed by Meryl Streep. Margaret Thatcher was the UK's first (and to date only) female Prime Minister, and was in office between 1979 and 1990. Thatcher's husband, Denis Thatcher, is portrayed by Jim Broadbent, and Thatcher's longest-serving cabinet member and eventual deputy, Geoffrey Howe, is portrayed by Anthony Head. To date, Meryl Streep has recieved plaudits for her performance, so we will head along and see for ourselves. We will attend the 7:25pm showing on Monday 16th January - meet outside the cinema between 7:00-7:10pm, to give us time to buy tickets and choose seats. General admission is $12.50
