EOC - WEM to Clifford E Lee Nature Area - Bike and Hike (16km/hour avg)

A sketchy weather forecast for Calgary and the mountains made Brent and I change our weekend plans at last minute from hiking in Lake Louise to doing a bike and hike here in Edmonton. Although the weather here wasn't ideal either, it was definitely better, and I'm so glad that three people decided to join us for what turned out to be a very pleasant bike and hike out to Clifford E Lee Nature Area.

We got a bit of everything, some sun, a few drops of rain, and lots of threatening clouds whose bark turned out to be worse than their bite. This was our third trip out to this park, but the first time that we actually did a walk around it. The water in the marshes was low to non-existent, and as a result, there wasn't as much "Nature" to be seen as I would have liked. In fact, if there had been any less "Nature", I might have had to give "Nature" a no-show. "Weather", on the other hand, was definitely in attendance.

Thanks to Don, Josephine and Laura for joining us - we had a fantastic time.

CCC - Toe-Tappin' Knee-Slappin' MAN (Music Appreciation Nooner)

Arrive at 2:00PM for introductions and to get settled in. We'll start the music at 2:30 with a quick round-robin to introduce our songs, then we'll listen to the music selections (sorry, but to avoid interruption if you are later than 2:30, the door buzzer will be shut off and you won't be able to get in).

My apartment is small, and the atmosphere casual. We'll be sitting or laying around the living room while we listen. Bring a pillow or cushion if you like for maximum comfiness.

Everyone must contribute 8-12 minutes of music for the event.
