COC - Beginner Flail and Ski

We went, we saw, we flailed. We had one "Flailing School Drop-Out", but kudos to Shahin for giving it a try. Our other spanky new beginners, Brent, Mai and Lindsay did great and I hope they all had a great time! Thanks to Safari Phil for coming out on the flail today and taking the more experienced of the flailers on their own adventure, and to everyone else who helped out throughout the day - there was a whole lotta helping going on!

With absolutely perfect weather and perfect ski conditions, I think my mission to turn Brent onto x-c skiing is off to a great start... see you on the trails!

CCC - Dinner at Gaucho Brazilian BBQ (Meat-Lovers Only)

Gauchos are the cowboys of South America - a symbol of pride and tradition. Heavily influenced by this cowboy culture, the residents of a Brazilian state called Rio Grande do Sul are affectionately referred to as "gauchos."

This same state - renowned for its unique churrasco barbecue - is the birthplace of Chef Edmilson Rodrigues. It is there, in Brazil's top barbecue houses, that Ede learned and perfected his craft.

As interest in Brazilian barbecue grew, Ede helped spread the unique churrasco taste to the world. He worked as a top chef in Japan, and co-owned several restaurants in China before setting his sights on Canada.

In late 2006, Ede launched his Brazilian catering business in Calgary. By popular demand, he opened a full-service Brazilian restaurant in 2007, where a new set of cowboys came to appreciate his culinary talents.
