We had a great time Tipi Camping…

We had a great time Tipi Camping…. The site is only 5 mins off the city limit. The activity team did a great job organizing various activities…. As seen in the pictures…

For us… the Food team, we started early (the evening before – shop, prep and get ourselves into the party mood) I did not shop too often, we used up all the food budget quickly and we have to give up do the Jelly-shots.

For the record, all 22 of us stayed in 4 Tipis and we had our native Indian names:

Tipi A – Sleep Owl: Muck About (Cheryl), Little Hooters (Andrew), Little white Dove (Rhonda), Running Bear (Brent), Chinguchcook (Mike) and Qyreenia (Silver Blush)

TipiB – Snow Tiger: Crowsfeet (Renee), Leon (Bald Eargle), Nacy Tucker (Red feather), Snoring Bear (Craig), Aaron, Diamond Back (Randy).

Tipi C – Bambi: Batfink (Ben), Running Deer (Nayoung), Skywater (Shirley), Drink like a fish (Tony), Painting horse (Kasia) and Eagle Eye (Bhavya).

Tipi D – Lion King: Run like a Cheetah (Ken), Sings like a goat (Joel), Sheila Bear (Sheila) and Rachael with no name (Rachael).

We had a lot of activities. (The site is beside the Elbow river, if we are to do it again, we may be able to do a float down the Elbow).

We had our campfire dinner, Sheila Bear is the main cook with Crowfeet, Drink like a fish and Run like a Cheetah as helper. Sheila did most of the veggies. Crowsfeet did the banana boat, Drink like a fish cooked steaks, I did the Salmon with Eagle Eyes and others’ help.

The campsite has lots of pots and pen. We used up a lot of disposable plates, knifes and forks. Being an outdoor group, next time, we should bring our own cups, plates, knifes and forks.

After dinner, we had our murder mystery. Brent played the detective and all try to guess “who the murder was”. Don’t tell anybody… “I did it”. We had a lot of fun and especially those who are in character.

After murder mystery, I went to bed early. Others sang along at the campfire. I heard that it was great. Sing like a goat does sing like a goat. Snoring Bear can sing.  Snoring Bear bought the transformer. Rachael with no name downloaded the lyrics using the iPhone (I need to be more up-to-date on technology). With a transformer, if we are to do it again, may be we can do a Karaoke and dancing.

Next day, we had breakfast, bacon, sausage and eggs. Bacon is hard to be crisp on a campfire. Everybody had coffee. Seems like it is the most important thing for breakfast. Everybody had his private coffee bags… pots… etc.

It was really great that every helped cleanup. If we get back the $100 damage deposit, we would have our after party at Rachael with no name’s place on June 12 (Friday).
