Iron Springs EASY MTN BIKING

After months of inactivity, I should have realized I was biting off more than I could chew with this event today, but I didn't, and it all turned out ok anyway. I didn't get abandoned on the trail to live out my days begging food from hikers and bikers (Marty estimated that I'd need to gain about 800 pounds to hibernate through the winters). I had a great time, with a great group, and I learned the most important things about the sport of mountain biking from Lori. Some of my favorites:
1) I'm only walking my bike up this hill to work different muscle groups
2) To increase my speed, I only have to master the farmer blow. I don't have to worry about increasing leg strength, lung capacity, overall stamina or skill... I just have to master that farmer blow. Much easier - thanks for the tip! I'll get right on it!

This was one of the best rides I have been on what a great group!!! I am glad I could help you out Rhonda! When's our next one!!!

Reasons to Celebrate - Duane's 39 and Sibel and Jeff are Getting Hitched! Theme: Fashion Police

Thank you Rhonda and Jill for setting up this event, and Duane for sharing your day with Jeff and I. Thank you all for coming, and what a great evening it was! We were so fortunate with the good weather! I was glad to be able to provide a good venue - the fire was awesome - you should have seen the pile of ash the morning after!! What a greast evening - I too enjoyed seeing everyone, catching up, and can't wait to see all the photos!! Sibel I just want to say that I was VERY impressed with the creative ideas that showed up for the Fashion Police theme. We were long overdue for a theme party and I was not disappointed with the great enthusiasm and willingness to make complete dorks of themselves that attendees showed. Thanks to everyone for a great time! Rhonda
