My personal mission for today was to go "up" the Lynx trail, connect through on Pocaterra and then go "down" Packers, thereby maximizing the screamin' fun hill experiences. Of our original fourteen intrepid skiiers, one turned back early on, four split off to do an 11km loop, and eight humored my wishes, joining me for the prescribed 18.5km loop. We were not disappointed... the hills were a plenty, the weather was great, and with a bit of new snow and freshly track set trails (mostly), the experience was fantastic and I felt thoroughly outdoored by the time we were done. A quick snack in the lodge and back to reality. Note to self for next year... two easy trips out (approx 2 hrs ea) to start off should do me for getting back to conditioned and confident state.
